Coding Club Volunteering Opportunity

This is a volunteering opportunity for teens in grades 9-12. Coding Club is a new program designed for kids in grades 6-8. Teen volunteers help younger students learn basic coding skills by following online tutorials and help library staff deliver the program.

Volunteering Benefits:

  • Develop your own understanding of basic coding

Qualifications:

  • Must be in grades 9-12
  • Ability to read instructions and problem-solve
  • Coding knowledge is a bonus but not a requirement
  • Interested in helping others with a positive and friendly attitude

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll help the participants work through tutorial lessons and stick to the guidelines set out by the program coordinator
  • Your job is to be friendly and encouraging role model
  • Assist with set-up and take down as needed
  • Available on these Monday afternoons between 3:45-5pm:
