Curbside Pickup Service at Jensen Lakes Library

Pickup service

The Downtown Library and Jensen Lakes Library are open. In-person services at both library locations include inside holds pickup, browsing, public computer access, printing and copying, staff help, and limited seating.

Curbside Service continues at Jensen Lakes Library using the Library's existing holds systems - you may pick up your holds inside Jensen Lakes Library or follow the instructions below to use contact-free Curbside Pickup service.

Curbside Pickup at Jensen Lakes Library (call 780-544-0444 on arrival)
Tuesday through Friday 12 PM to 6 PM; Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM

  • Please verify your pickup location before you arrive. When you arrive at Jensen Lakes Library, call 780-544-0444 and have your Hold Pickup Number ready;
  • Pickup will be from outside the main Jensen Lakes Library door.  
  • Please stay in your vehicle or maintain physical distance while we place your order on the table. 

Key details

  • Curbside Pickup requests are placed using the Library’s existing hold and notification systems;
  • Patrons will choose their preferred Library location when they place their holds. Downtown holds can be picked up inside the Library. Jensen Lakes Library holds can be picked up via Curbside Pickup service or inside the Library;
  • Patrons should continue to return materials as usual using the 24 hour returns at both Library locations;
  • Due dates on loans have not changed. Patrons are urged to check their account online to keep track of due dates on all materials on their accounts.

Kit pickup and returns

  • Pick up Book Club Kits at the Information Desk on the second floor of the Downtown Library.
  • Storytime Kits and B.E.A.R. Reading Kits are on display in the Children's area of the Downtown Library. Ask at the Children's Desk for help finding a kit with a specific theme.
  • Other kit types (Arduino, Sphero, Home Energy, Pedometer, Neighbourhood Connections) can be placed on hold.
  • Return all kits to the Downtown Library Customer Service Desk on the main floor.

What if I don’t have a car? Can I come by bike or walk up?

Yes! We know some of you will prefer to walk or bike to pick up your items. We ask that you still stay in your “parking spot” and keep your distance while library staff put your items on the table.

Can I send a friend, neighbour or family member to pick up my order for me?

Yes! You are welcome to send a delegate in the form of a friend, neighbour or family member to pick up your order on your behalf. Just make sure they have all of the needed information including your hold pickup number. Remember that the library cardholder to whom the items are checked out is responsible for the materials and will be charged for any loss or damage.

Is there an option for home delivery?
