Getting a Library Card: Welcome to the Library

Joining the Library takes just a few minutes at the Customer Service desk on the main floor of the Library. You must present valid identification and proof of address. If you’re under 18 please bring your parent or guardian with you.

The details:

  •     The St. Albert Public Library has an individual membership system.
  •     One permanent card is issued per patron, each with a unique barcode number.
  •     You must present a valid library card at each check out or renewal.
  •     Memberships cannot be opened or renewed in the last 15 minutes before closing.

 

Annual Fees

Library cards are free for St. Albert residents.

 

  Non-residents

 Non-residents will pay an annual fee of $70 for membership.

Renewing Your St. Albert Library Membership

  •    in person with your library card and current valid identification.
  •    by phone the account will be renewed for 8 weeks, current valid identificaiton to be brought in within that time, with outstanding account payments accepted via credit card.
  •  Online membership renewals are not available at this time.
