How to borrow a book club kit for your book club

The Library's book club kit software is supplied by a third party vendor, KitKeeper. The vendor has had a continuing outage since August 8, which affects the security of KitKeeper. In order to protect your data, we have discontinued our use of KitKeeper.

Book club kits are now available in our catalogue.

FAQs

Book club kits continue to be 6 week loans.
Kits can be placed on hold in the Library catalogue.
To borrow a kit, please locate the kit you want in the book club kit area next to the CS desk at the Downtown Library. Bring the kit to the CS desk and staff will be happy to check it out for you.
Book club kits cannot be reserved for a specific date. We recommend visiting the Downtown library on the date the kit is needed, to choose from over 90 kits.
A hold can be placed on a book club kit, then the hold can be paused until closer to the desired pick up date.

Book Club Kit contents:

  • multiple copies of one book
  • book club guide

Keep track of which copy each book club member has borrowed using this sign out sheet for your book club.
