Check out these fun library programs happening around St. Albert.
Reading Help
Reading Buddies: Children in grades 2-4 who could benefit from a little support and guidance with their reading will be paired with a trained teen Reading Buddy volunteer to read together. The goal is to help the young buddy improve their confidence and develop a positive attitude toward reading.
For fall 2025 we are offering two in-person options:
- Tuesdays, October 7 - November 25, 4:00-5:00 pm (No class November 11)
- Wednesdays, October 8 - November 26, 6:30-7:30 pm (No class November 12)
The application process opens Tuesday, September 2 at 9 am.
Bookable Buddies: Come to the Jensen Lakes Library and read in a fun and encouraging environment with a friendly Reading Buddy! Bring your own book or choose one from our collection. For kids in grades 2-4 who could use a little support with their reading.
Choose from one of three 25 minute slots from 6 to 7:30 pm on Thursdays, from September 19 to November 21. Registration can be found on the Library's calendar.
