We want everyone to enjoy our resources and be able to use the Library space! At the Downtown Library we have tools and services that will make it easier for you.
Large print books
These books are available to all patrons and have clear text with at least 13-point font.
CD audiobooks
We have over 4000 fiction and nonfiction titles available.
Playaways
These small audioplayers are preloaded with an entire audiobook - just add headphones and a AAA battery.
Downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks
Read or listen from your computer or mobile device. You can change the font size of the eBooks, or adjust volume and narrating speed of eAudiobooks.
DAISY Talking Books and players
DAISY books (Digital Accessible Information System) contains the entire book on one disc. DAISY books play on a DAISY player, which also plays regular CD books and music CDs.
Any Library member with a print disability (learning, physical or visual) can access DAISY books. You can access DAISY books at the Downtown Library, CELA (Centre for Equitable Library Access) Library or NNELS (National Network for Equitable Library Services).
