Relais D2D is a new website provided by the Public Library Service Branch of the Government of Alberta. It was launched on February 10 and is used by all Alberta public libraries for interlibrary loan services. SAPL staff are committed to making this province-wide change as easy as possible for our patrons. Questions?

Books, movies, CDs, and other materials not in St. Albert Public Library’s collection may be requested. Digital items such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, and other online titles cannot be requested.
Requests for Interlibrary Loans are accepted from all St. Albert residents with a St. Albert Public Library card. TAL card members or ME library card holders cannot use this service and must request Interlibrary Loans through their home library.
No. This service is free at St. Albert Public Library.
All ILL requests are evaluated by our Interlibrary Loan Assistant. You will be notified when the item arrives and is ready to be picked up from our holds shelf. Our ILL Assistant will contact you if any issues arise with obtaining your request. Please note that ILL materials are lent to us at the discretion of the lending library.
ILL patrons are limited to five active requests at one time. Active requests are requests that are currently ongoing or checked out to you.
Interlibrary Loans take from two to six weeks to obtain. This time frame depends on many factors such as popularity of the title and which lending library it is coming from.
Three weeks from the day the item is checked out on your account. Please note overdue Interlibrary Loans are charged a late fee of $1 a day per item.
Some titles can be renewed but are subject to the lending library’s decision. Please contact us one week before your due date to inquire about renewals.
No, please return all ILL titles to St. Albert Public Library.

You will be responsible for the replacement cost of the item plus an administrative fee. These amounts are set by the lending library and may be substantial.
